Quotes, estimates and bookings
Prices, estimates and availability shown online are indicative until confirmed in writing by our team. Final pricing depends on an assessment of your specific needs. Bookings are confirmed only when you receive a confirmation from us.
Cancellations
Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Any applicable cancellation terms will be explained when your booking is confirmed.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Estimates, tariffs and access charges
Moves inside California under 100 miles are billed hourly in accordance with the California Public Utilities Commission Maximum Rate Tariff. Interstate moves are priced on the actual weight of the shipment and the mileage, evidenced by certified weight tickets. Access charges (stair carry, elevator carry, long carry, shuttle service and bulky article handling) are assessed at the survey and itemised on your written estimate.
A written estimate is prepared from the inventory and access recorded at the survey. Articles added after the estimate, or access conditions that could not reasonably be observed at the survey, may change the final charges. In either case the crew lead will contact you before the work proceeds.
Valuation and liability
Released Value Protection provides liability of 60 cents per pound per article and is offered at no additional charge. Full Value Protection requires a declared value of not less than $6.00 per pound of total shipment weight and applies by default unless Released Value is selected in writing on the bill of lading.
Articles of extraordinary value, meaning any article valued at more than $100 per pound, must be listed on a high-value inventory form before loading. Claims must be filed in writing within nine months of delivery. We will acknowledge a claim within 30 days and pay, deny or make a settlement offer within 120 days.
Items we cannot transport
Federal hazardous materials regulations prohibit the transport of flammable, corrosive and explosive articles in a household goods shipment. This includes propane and other compressed gas cylinders, fuels, aerosols, paints and solvents, pool chemicals, ammunition and car batteries. Perishable food, live plants on long-distance moves and pets are also excluded. Items of a personal or irreplaceable nature should be carried by you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of CA.
